The Transit Chassis Double Cab is designed to effortlessly move both cargo and your team, perfect if you need a crew and van conversion. 

Available in long to extra-long wheelbases, and built with a robust ladder-frame chassis the Transit Chassis Double Cab provides a flat, strong base on which to build your perfect crew van conversion. And with a new 5-Tonne model available, you have a flat, strong base on which to build your perfect vehicle, however you like, with up to 2,960 kg of payload and still have room for up to six passengers. 

Wide-opening doors provide easy access to the intelligently designed interior. The back row of seats can be lifted to reveal stowage for your tools, laptops or other equipment you want to keep hidden. And the middle seat in the front row can be folded flat to be used as a handy work surface.

Intelligent All-Wheel Drive is a torque on demand system delivering surefooted progress over challenging surfaces. At the touch of a button or in response to driving conditions, AWD keeps you and your cargo squarely on the road. And for a weight gain of just ~60kg, you get added versatility without sacrificing payload.

With a range of advanced hybrid or diesel powertrains, the Chassis Single Cab is the perfect blend of power and efficiency. The four 2.0-litre Ford EcoBlue diesel engines offer up to 170 PS of horsepower and 415 Nm of torque. For the first time, you can also choose a Ford EcoBlue Hybrid powertrain, helping maximise efficiency and minimise emissions. And to meet the stringent emissions regulations, the Transit Chassis Single Cab is also available with a 130 PS or 170 PS Heavy Duty diesel engine.

To avoid accidental damage, power-foldable mirrors fold inwards when you’re parked. Tucked back, they also protect the stylish integrated indicators.

LANE-KEEPING SYSTEM

LANE-KEEPING SYSTEM

The Lane Keeping System uses a forward-looking camera to detect if you’re unintentionally drifting out of lane. Lane Keeping Aid provides gentle steering torque assistance to help guide you back into your lane. If your wheel touches the line or edge of the road, Lane Keeping Alert vibrates the steering wheel and displays a visual warning. The technology automatically deactivates at speeds below 64 km/h, or can be turned off manually.

If any of your Transit Chassis Double Cab’s tyres starts to lose pressure during your journey, the Tyre Pressure Monitoring System warns you immediately if there’s a puncture by lighting up an icon on the instrument panel.
